Wednesday B All-day walk – Melbourn

Start time: 10.30 am (please note later time)

Walk length: 7 miles approx.

Walk details: Much of the walk follows the Mel chalk stream. Mainly good footpaths and village roads. Marshy area if we have a lot of rain. Five stiles, one set of steps and a railway pedestrian bridge. A little under 7 miles, split equally between morning and afternoon. Coffee break at Meldreth Church.

Meet and parking: Walk starts at 10.30 from Dobbies Garden Centre car park, Dunsbridge Turnpike, Melbourn.  SG8 6RB. A left turn off the A10 between Foxton and Royston if coming from Cambridge.

A huge car park. Please park at the bottom away from the buildings. They have a cafe if anyone wants a cuppa after the walk.

Lunch arrangements: Lunch at The British Queen, Meldreth. There is a recreation ground almost opposite the pub for picnickers.  Dogs welcome. Please choose from menu below.

Please choose type of bread and chips or crisps. Lunch choices to Sue by Friday 18th June.
