Wednesday B All-Day walk – Little Thetford and Stretham
August 4 @ 10:30 am - 2:30 pm
Group size: Maximum of 12
Parking: Turn off the A10 and go right the way through the village of Little Thetford until you nearly reach the railway. Park along here near the picnic area and green.
Walk details and distance: The walk is approx 6.5 miles. It is easy going with a little over 4 miles before lunch and 2 miles afterwards. There are three stiles en-route and probably some cows.
Lunch: There is the option of a picnic on the green in Stretham, or lunch at the Red Lion. The pub has agreed to provide a separate room for our group. If you intend to go on the walk, please let Sue know by Sunday 1st August if you wish to have lunch in the pub as she has to give them a couple of days’ notice of how many are coming.
Walk leader: Sue
Leader’s details to book: Please email email@example.com or telephone 01954 203034 no later than Monday the 2nd of August.
Please note these additional requirements:
In line with the requirements for group walks of more than six people, as approved by Ramblers UK (the national body for walking), everyone coming on the walk must provide the leader with their contact details.
Please email, text or phone the leader if you plan to come. Please remember to give your name as part of any message! Your details will be held for 21 days for Covid-19 ‘test and trace’ purposes, then deleted.
No one should come on the walk if they feel even slightly ill. Please make sure that you bring with you a face covering, hand sanitiser and any walking poles you need; no equipment or refreshments can be shared beyond households. In line with government guidance, members are asked to observe ‘social distancing’ on the walk.
More details related to taking part in and leading Club walks in a Covid-19 environment are posted on the CRC website, under ‘Members’. Please have another look at these before you come on the walk.
