Wednesday B All-day walk – Houghton to Grantchester and return

Start time: 10.15
Walk length: 7 miles – approximately 5 miles in the morning and 2 miles after lunch
Walk details: This is a circular walk on mostly hard ground. We stop for coffee and a toilet break in Godmanchester. We then take the delightful walk along the river at Huntingdon, mostly on hard ground. Lunch will be at the King of the Belgians pub in Hartford – details below. Then return to Houghton.
Meeting place and parking: The walk will start at the sports field car park in Houghton. From St Ives follow the A1123 and take the first turning into Houghton and immediately on your right is the car park.
Group size: No limit on number of walkers

Dogs are allowed in the bar area.

Booking: Please book no later than 6 pm on Sunday 9 January as the pub landlord needs to have numbers on Monday. Please either email sueinover@ntlworld.com or ring 01954 203034 to book a place.
In line with the requirements for group walks of more than six people, as approved by Ramblers UK (the national body for walking), everyone coming on the walk must provide the leader with their contact details.
Please email or phone the leader if you plan to come. Please remember to give your name as part of any message! Your details will be held for 21 days for Covid-19 ‘test and trace’ purposes, then deleted.
No one should come on the walk if they feel even slightly ill. Please make sure that you bring with you a face covering, hand sanitiser and any walking poles you need; no equipment or refreshments can be shared beyond households. In line with government guidance, members are asked to observe ‘social distancing’ on the walk.
