Walk length: The walk is about 4 miles in the morning and a little over 2 miles in the afternoon. 

Walk details: The walk is a circular walk from Hauxton Church to Gt Shelford. It is mainly flat, no stiles,  one well trodden, across field path that might be slippery if wet and about 1/2 mile on pavements. 

Directions, meeting place and parking: The walk will start from St Edmunds Hauxton Church, Church Road, CB22 5HS. The church can be found just off to the left of the A10, south of the Trumpington P&R after crossing the M11. Please park on the same side as the church. 

Lunch arrangements: Lunch may be booked at the ‘Square and Compasses’ in Great Shelford. No dogs are allowed inside but there is a pleasant covered area at the rear. 

The menu is shown below. The part hidden on the picture reads baked beans or vegan cheese.

Picnickers might like to take advantage of the free ‘warm hub’ in the Memorial Hall a quarter mile from the pub. Directions will be provided.
