Start time: 10.15

Walk length: The walk is 7.7 miles in length with 4.6 miles in the morning and just over 3 miles after lunch.

Walk details: The walk includes some road walking, a steep climb out of Linton but no stiles. Given the ground conditions, there may well be some muddy sections.

Meeting place and parking: We will start from the car park at Hadstock Village Hall, Church Path, Hadstock, Cambridge CB21 4PH. [The post code on its own covers a wider area so you need to put Hadstock Village Hall into Google Maps for instance to get accurate directions.]

Directions: Roads from Saffron Walden, Linton and Bartlow all meet at the Village Green. Turn into the small road between the Green and the telephone box and then turn left just past the bungalow. This road is the Church Path and even narrower so please drive slowly and carefully. Follow the road as it bears left and you will see the Village Hall on your left and the Church on your right. General parking is behind the Village hall and there is a flat parking bay and disabled access in front of the hall. As there may be a class in the village hall, please park carefully and tightly to maximise space for all users. Please do not park in the Churchyard.

We agreed a £1 donation from each walker for use of the car park and we will collect this at the start of the walk.

Lunch arrangements: Lunch will be at The Crown at Linton. Their menu is attached. Dogs are allowed in the bar area.

There are seats in the nearby recreation ground for those bringing a picnic.
