Walk length: Slightly over 7 miles (4 in the morning, 3 after lunch)

Walk details: Walk along paths round Fen Drayton Lakes to St Ives. Out along the River Great Ouse and return partly via the busway cycle path. No stiles.

Meeting place and parking: By the recreation ground at the far end of the High Street in Fen Drayton. Park along the side of the road. Postcode CB24 4SJ

Directions from Cambridge: Follow the A14 or A1307 north-west towards Huntingdon and take the exit for Swavesey (at Junction 24B if on the A14). Drive for about a mile into Swavesey, taking first left which is the Rose and Crown Road, sign-posted Fen Drayton. After 1.5 miles you reach a T-junction and turn right into Fen Drayton. Follow the road round to the left, and when you reach the mini-roundabout turn right onto the High Street. Drive past the no through road sign and park along the side of the road. Postcode CB24 4SJ.

Lunch arrangements: Lunch is at The White Hart in St Ives. Menu is attached. Dogs are welcome inside.

For people bringing a picnic, there are benches nearby.
