Walk length: 7 miles approx. (the morning walk is approx. 4.5 miles, with a further 2.5 miles after lunch)

Walk details: The morning walk goes from Cottenham to Rampton and back. The afternoon walk skirts around the village. There are no stiles on the walk.

Meeting place and parking: The walk starts from the recreation ground in Cottenham (entrance next to the primary school in Lambs Lane, Cottenham CB24 8TA). There is plenty of parking available at the recreation ground.

Directions from Cambridge: Coming from Cambridge on the B1049, you turn left at Cottenham Village green on to Rampton Road, carry on straight for 400 yards over a mini roundabout until you reach Lambs Lane on your right. Turn right here into Lambs Lane. The entrance to the recreation ground is on the left, just before you reach the primary school.

Lunch arrangements: Lunch will be at the Community Centre in Cottenham. The menu is shown below. The leader will take orders before starting the walk and will ring them through prior to arrival at the Community Centre.

Dogs are not allowed in the Community Centre, but can be tethered outside (as it is close to the roadside) where a table and chairs can be placed (as has been done with this walk previously).

Anyone wishing to not have lunch at the Community Centre can walk 200 yards to the village green, or 400 yards back to the recreation ground if they wish to end the walk after the morning.
