Travel out to Balsham – probably via Fulbourn but other ways are possible.   Assuming arrival at the western end of High Street follow road, straight in an easterly direction and uphill, until – as the road bends to the right – an area of grass with a building that looks rather like a bandstand is ahead.    Turn left and proceed with the ‘bandstand’ on the right and a brick wall on the left.   Go left down the narrow lane and a short distance ahead will be the Church with a large car parking area to the left.   Park quite close together and with consideration as local people may have needs too.    Bring picnic lunch and drinks to enjoy sitting on the seats of the Recreation Ground in Linton.     In Balsham there is a small shop, and a café which sells some foods (and also a Co-op in Linton which we pass after lunchtime!)      The afternoon part of the walk is a bit longer than the morning, the morning is downhill and the afternoon is more uphill.
