Walk length: Around 7.5 miles (approximately 4.5 miles before lunch and 3 miles after lunch)

Walk details: Generally good footpaths and tracks but may be muddy in parts if the weather has been wet. There is some road walking.

Meeting place and parking: We will start from Audley End station. You can park in the station car park (but it’s on the expensive side so car sharing is a good idea where possible) – or come by train!

Directions from Cambridge: From central Cambridge, take A1307 towards Haverhill. On reaching the junction with the A11 head south. Make sure you leave the A11 at Stumps Cross (or you end up on the M11 and cannot turn round until you reach Stansted) and take the B1383 around Great Chesterford, through Littlebury, pass in front of Audley End House, eventually turning right on to B1039 signposted to Wendons Ambo and Audley End station. Turn left for station car park.

Lunch arrangements: Lunch is at Cafe CouCou in Saffron Walden. Unfortunately dogs aren’t allowed (pub was booked up). Please let Sarah have your menu choices by email before the end of Monday 21st August. Menu attached below.
For those not wishing to have lunch at the cafe, the green is about 5 minutes walk further on. The leader will provide directions.
