Wednesday A walk Kirtling
June 9 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Start of walk: Kirtling Village Hall car park, which is at 39 The Street, Kirtling CB8 9PB. This is about 0.75 miles NE of the Red Lion pub.
Car parking: As above. Please park efficiently.
At the time of going to press, the access to the car park has yet to be confirmed. You will be advised if the car park arrangements change but only if they change!
Lunch: Please bring a packed lunch and all other refreshments for the day
Leader’s name and mobile number: Jill’s mobile number is 07793 077230
General walk information: The walk involves a series of ‘petals’ in and around Kirtling/Upend, so anyone wanting a shorter walk can miss out a ‘petal’! (but do make sure you have a map handy…). There are good views of the adjacent Suffolk countryside around Dalham and we also visit Ashley, Cheveley and the grounds of Kirtling Towers.
Please note these additional requirements:
In line with the requirements for group walks of more than six people, as approved by the Ramblers (the national body for walking), everyone coming on the walk must provide the leader with their contact details.
Please text the leader if you plan to come. Please remember to give your name as part of the text! Your details will be held for 21 days for Covid-19 ‘test and trace’ purposes, then deleted.
No one should come on the walk if they feel even slightly ill. Please make sure that you bring with you a face covering, hand sanitiser and any walking poles you need; no equipment or refreshments can be shared beyond households. In line with government guidance, members are asked to observe ‘social distancing’ on the walk.
More details related to taking part in and leading Club walks in a Covid-19 environment are posted on the CRC website, under ‘Members’. Please have another look at these before you come on the walk.
