General information about the walk:  The morning walk mainly follows the John Bunyan trail past Barton-le-Clay church, up onto the Barton hills and then south as far as the Icknield Way, which we join briefly before heading north past Mortgrove Farm and downhill into Hexton. The afternoon walk takes us to Pegsdon, up onto the Pegsdon Hills including the day’s high point of Deacon Hill (172m) and back into Hexton the way we set out.
