Walk will be on the north side of Wicken Fen to Upware, returning on the south side of Wicken Fen to the Maids Head for lunch (6 miles approx.). The pub does a good range of snacks, including vegetable soup, sandwiches and chips. After lunch we will walk to the edge of Soham and return by a different route (5 miles approx.).

 

From Cambridge take the A10 to Stretham. Turn right at roundabout onto A1123 for Wicken. The Maids Head is on the left  (by Butts Lane) past the village green. Cars can be parked in pub car park and we can use their toilets before departing.
