The walk starts at Judes Ferry pub, Ferry Lane, West Row, Mildenhall IP28 8PT. TL 676-749

From Cambridge take the A14 then A11 (SP Thetford, Norwich). Suggested route is to go to Barton Mills roundabout, take first exit towards Mildenhall A1101. At the second roundabout take second exit to West Row. After a mile at T junction turn left and follow signs to West Row. Follow road and on second bend turn left SP Freckenham. Judes Ferry is 500 yds on the right.

The morning is 6.5 miles via Isleham Lock and the afternoon 6.5 via the town of Mildenhall. Lunch will be at Judes Ferry, which has a good menu including soup, chips, sandwiches etc.
