This walk will start from  the Grafham Water Centre car park, West Perry, near PE28 0BX; GR TL 144672 [charge £3 for the day].  From the Buckden roundabout on the A1, take the 1^st exit (B661). After approximately three miles, pass through West Perry. The large car park is signed on the right, almost at the end of the village.

Our route [7 miles am, 5.5 miles pm] will start out along the lake and then meander through the undulating north Cambridgeshire countryside to approach Kimbolton through Kimbolton Park.  In the afternoon we track back towards the lake and finally through woodland bordering the lake. 

Lunch is at the New Sun Inn, Kimbolton, which offers  a range of filled jacket potatoes,  sandwiches and soup, as well as a tasty choice of Ploughman’s boards!
