Wednesday A walk from Trumpington

Meet at 1000hrs in Trumpington at the Cambridge Professional Development Centre car park. Approach via Anstey Rd which is opposite Bidwells main offices on Trumpington Road. Go down Anstey Rd., turn left onto Foster Rd., follow around right hand bend and 50m along turn left into a large grassed car park G.R.449 552. Postcode CB2 9NL ( only on newer sat navs.!) Easy really . . . .
We walk from there around Addenbrookes to Cherry Hinton Park,Hinton Brook,Coldams Commothe river. and along the river path to the Maypole in Portugal Place for lunch. The afternoon walk is through town to Mill Lane, where we rejoin the waterway, Newnham, Granchester andTrumpington.
The morning is 7.5 miles. the afternoon 4.5miles.
At least half the going is on hard surface – very little mud and no stiles!
