Meet at Margaret Street car park, Thaxted, CM6 2 QP, GR611312. (Toilets available). The car park is signed to the left just before the bend into the main street with the church opposite.

The walk is about 12 miles, 6.5 in the morning and 5.5 in the afternoon.

Lunch will be at the Fleur de Lys, Widdington which has a good, but not cheap, selection of food. Own sandwiches can be eaten on the green nearby (not in the pub garden).

On return to Thaxted Poppies tea room is good!
