Wednesday A walk from Paxton Pits Nature Reserve

Directions: Take the A428 from Cambridge towards St Neots. Turn right at roundabout for St Neots on B1428 and continue down through the new housing estate. Under the railway bridge, turn right signed ‘The Paxtons’. At the crossroads (double roundabout), go straight ahead for Little Paxton. At T-junction with traffic lights, turn right for Lt Paxton. Continue to next T-junction and turn right, signed The North, P’Boro, Nature Reserve. Take second right into Little Paxton Lane, continuing past the church and pub to the car park at Paxton Pits Reserve.
Toilets at Visitor Centre.
The walk is about 7 miles in the morning and about 5 in the afternoon, through the reserve with the chance of hearing nightingales, on to Dinnington and Offord D’Arcy for lunch at the Horseshoe. We return along the River Ouse.
