The walk will start at the Clock Tower Square, Houghton,  PE28 2BE, map ref TL 281 721, for a circular walk, visiting the Hemingfords & St Ives, with lunch at The Ferryboat, Holywell, to then return via St Ives to Houghton.

The walk is 12 miles; 7 miles in the morning and 5 in the afternoon. You might like to bring some food for the swans at our coffee-break and some binoculars to see what’s on the river Great Ouse and gravel-pit lakes. If walkers would like, we can have a short stop at one of the bird-hides at the Fen Drayton RSPB reserve.

The Ferryboat has an extensive lunch menu, including sandwiches, wraps, jackets, burgers, salads, chips and soup. Please see www.oldenglishinns.co.uk/st-ives   for menu beforehand as the choice is large.
