Wednesday A Walk 20 August 2014.  Starts at Houghton Mill Car Park NT free parking or £2 all day for non-members.  Some free parking at the clock tower square opposite Three Horseshoes and off road towards Houghton Mill but very limited.

Signposted off A1123 between St Ives and Huntingdon, opposite freshly thatched cottage.  PE28 2AZ (See Houghton Mill Website for more directions).

The walk is about 11.5 miles along the Ouse Valley Way to Godmanchester for Coffee by the Chinese Bridge (Public Toilets).  Then towards Hemingford Abbots along the Pathfinder Walk for lunch at the Axe and Compass.  We continue to Hemingford Grey and St Ives across the Bridge and back along the Thicket to Houghton Mill.  The Houghton Mill Café serves Cream Teas.  This is my first lead so please forgive the simplicity.

The Axe and Compass Lunch menu is extensive but the snacks are pretty good with the platters to share, sandwiches and vegi soup.
