The walk is a figure of eight from the Rose and Crown, 69 High Street, Ashwell, SG7 5NP. Please only park in the car park if eating at the pub. Otherwise there is parking in Mill Street, near the church.

The morning is 6.7 miles via Hinxworth. The afternoon is 7 miles or there is a short cut, which we may use if the weather is very hot, to reduce the mileage to 4.4.
