Church Farm Ardeley, Stevenage, Hertfordshire SG2 7AH. Explorer 194 & 193.

From Cambridge take A10 south through Royston to roundabout for Buntingford and Baldock.  Take 3^rd exit onto A507 towards Baldock.  In Cottered, past the Bull Pub turn left onto B1037 signposted to Walkern and Cromer Windmill.  Where B1037 goes right, go straight on (narrow road with passing places) for Ardeley.  In Ardeley turn left and in 10yds opposite the Jolly Wagoner Pub turn right into Church Farm.  Free car park is at back.  You do not need to buy a farm pass as we will be walking on public footpaths.  Toilets are available off car park.

Walk is 12.5 miles, 7.5am and 5pm.  Please order lunch, leaving your name, from café before setting off on walk and tell café you are with Cambridge Rambling Club.  Food is grown on farm or bought locally.  Drinks may be bought from pub or café.  Packed lunches may be eaten on pretty village green with a drink in pub or café after.  Walk includes farm animals, crop fields, pretty villages, woods, Roman road and passes through Walkern, Bennington and Wood End.  Tea and homemade cakes are available in Church Farm Café at end of walk.  Locally grown food is available in shop.
