This is a circular walk. In the morning we will start from Abbots Ripton, with parking at the Village Hall car park, map ref TL 235 775, postcode PE28 2PF, for a walk of 7 miles via Great Raveley and Wistow to Broughton.  The afternoon walk of 4 miles will return to Abbots Ripton via Kings Ripton. Both the morning and afternoon walks include some footpaths beside fields, so underfoot may be sticky if there has been recent rain.

If entering Abbots Ripton from the south-east on the B1090, the village hall, signed, is first left by The Green and then first right, to see the playing field and village hall ahead of you.

Lunch will be the usual pub fare at The Crown Inn, Broughton – a grade 2 listed building, opposite All Saints Church.     Please see the lunch menu at www.thecrowninnrestaurant.co.uk .  If bringing sandwiches, you might like to bring something to sit on just in case the grass is damp on the village green, next to the pub.
