Gillian will lead a 11.5 mile walk from Royston Cricket Club ground in Therfield. This recreation ground is the one marked on the OS map between the centre of Therfield and the road south to Hay Green.  It’s about 300 yds from the pub on the left going south.   So if you come from Royston via the A10, rather than from the A505 Macdonalds roundabout, this would be on the right just after Hay Green.   There is parking here for 15 cars (perhaps a few more if we double park).   I have agreed a £2 charge per car with the club, which is opening the ground specially for us.  There are no toilets available.

The walk in the morning is 6.5 miles, ending up at the café on the heath in Royston.  It has a varied menu and has a licence.   The afternoon is 5 miles back up the hill.  There will probably be quite a few ploughed fields, sorry!
