The walk will start from the Priory Park Car Park on Huntingdon Street, St Neots, GR TL 188 610, nearest postcode is PE19 1DY.

Please note that Google maps on the website does not appear to like this postcode – the free car park is part of Priory Park and is accessed off Huntingdon Street. If approaching from the north, the entrance to Priory Park car park is on the left, just under half a mile down from Priory Hill Road/Mill Lane.  It is between Parkway and The Crescent (both on the right) and before the pedestrian crossing.  If approaching from the south, it is just under half a mile from Cambridge Street/High Street, and just after the pedestrian crossing. There are big signs at the entrance.

If the car park is full, please park considerately in the side roads on the opposite side of Huntingdon Street.  There are no toilets at the start but hopefully there will be at coffee time.

Lunch will be in St Neots and although there will be no organised pub meal enough time will be allowed to use the cafes and pubs in the town centre provided that we spread ourselves around, or bring your own food which can be eaten in a pleasant spot by the river.

The morning walk will be  a little under 7 miles and the afternoon is a little under 5 miles.  Much of the walk will be on good surfaces, though some mud is inevitable.  For those not wishing to do the full walk, there are opportunities for self guided short cuts back to the car park – just let Pauline know on the day if that is what you would like to do.
