The walk is approx. 13 miles between Maulden Woods and Ampthill  on parts of the Greensand Ridge Walk.

From  the A421 south of Bedford, take  the slip road for the A6 signed  Bedford/Luton and follow A6 for Luton passing Maulden Woods on your right after about 5 miles.  To avoid making a right turn across the dual carriageway, continue a short distance to the roundabout with the A507 at Clophill and turn 180* to approach from the south. Postcode MK45 4AD will take you to near to this roundabout.

Parking is in the Deadmans Hill layby alongside the A6 at TL 074 393 and is indicated by a ‘P’ sign. There is access to secure parking and toilets at the Greensand Trust Centre by inserting a £1 coin in the barrier.

Lunch is at the Prince of Wales in Ampthill.
