Start at Houghton Mill Car Park NT; free parking or £2.50 all day for non-members.  The Houghton Mill is signposted off A1123 between St Ives and Huntingdon, junction opposite a thatched cottage.  Through Houghton village and turn left into the Car Park before the river.  PE28 2AZ (See Houghton Mill Website for more directions).

The walk is 12.5 miles (6.5 am, 6.0 pm) along the Ouse Valley Way to Godmanchester for Coffee by the Chinese Bridge (Public Toilets); then towards Hemingford Abbots along the Pathfinder Walk for lunch at the Axe and Compass.  We continue through Hemingford Grey to St Ives across the Chapel Bridge and back along the Thicket to Houghton Mill.  The Houghton Mill Café serves Cream Teas; if you are thinking of having a cream tea at the end, I will ask them to bake some more scones.

The Axe and Compass Lunch menu is extensive but the snacks are good including sandwiches and soup. (Shortcut available back to the carpark after lunch: 1.5 miles across Houghton Meadow to the start)
