The walk is a figure of 8 starting at the William IV pub in Heydon. SG8 8PW (TL 431397). Parking is in the pub car park. Heydon is reached from the A505 between Royston and Duxford.

The morning walk will be 7.5 miles and goes to the east passing the villages of Elmton and Duddenhoe End.  The afternoon walk will be 5 miles and goes to the north of the village.
