The walk is from Great Chishill with 7.5 miles in the morning and 4.5 miles in the afternoon. Parking is on the road opposite the Pheasant, post code SG8 8SR.
This is accessed from Royston via the B1039 through Barley and then turning left towards Heydon. Alternatively, take A505 and turn south to Heydon on Fowlmere Road and then right by church onto Chishill road to reach the Pheasant.
