Our walk on 23 July will start from the Devil’s Ditch car park which is about 1km northeast of Swaffham Prior on the B1102.

The walk has been redesigned recently to avoid Reach Lode bridge which will be closed temporarily this week!  Many thanks to Jill for giving me early warning of the closure!

Our slightly shortened route will replace Reach Lode with a stretch of Devil’s Ditch which offers a profusion of wild flowers at the moment, and will approach Reach via the former clunch pit (now Reach Wood).  There is potential for a diversion for refreshments in the DykesEnd pub before striking out along the final leg along Devil’s Ditch.
