The walk starts at 6.30 p.m. from the large lay-by just outside Horningsea.  From the A14 come off at the Fen Ditton turn and follow the signs to Horningsea.  Drive right through Horningsea and on a bend there is a large lay-by on the right-hand side.

The walk goes to Clayhithe, following the river to Baitsbite lock, returning to Horningsea.  The distance is 5.5 miles.

There is a pub in Horningsea if anyone wanted to stop for a drink near the end.
