From Cambridge, take either the A10 or the A603:

A10: Take the A10 to Royston. At the roundabout on the outskirts of Royston, take 3^rd exit to get onto the town bypass heading west. Stay on the bypass and go straight over the next roundabout (2^nd exit) to reach a second roundabout with a McDonalds to your left. At that roundabout, take 2^nd exit heading west on A505 dual carriageway. In one-third of a mile, turn right across the dual carriageway (signposted ‘Litlington’). Follow dead straight road, over a rail crossing, for just over a mile to reach Litlington. Continue along the main street through the village to join a one-way system coming in from your right – you are now in Church Street. In 200 yards, on the right-hand side, you will see a small triangular green with seats, trees and a tall village sign. Park alongside the green or if no space there, further along the street. Nearest postcode: SG8 0RD

A603: Take A603 to the Arrington roundabout. Take first exit onto A1198 heading south towards Kneesworth and Royston. In three miles, reach mini roundabout in centre of Kneesworth. Turn right heading to Bassingbourn. Stay on that road and go straight through Bassingbourn. In one mile you come into Litlington and soon after bear left to join a one-way system. Follow that round, bearing right at the next main junction to bring you into Church Street and then the small green on your right (see A10 directions).

The full route is just over 4.5 miles but for anyone who wants a shorter walk there is an option to do only 3.5 miles with an easy-to-follow shortcut back to the start. A very pleasant countryside walk with good tracks/footpaths, mainly flat apart from two or three gentle inclines, nice views and no stiles!
