From Cambridge, head for Fulbourn via the Cherry Hinton Road. Drive straight through Fulbourn following the main road and along the Balsham Road, towards Balsham. Cross the A11. In Balsham continue on the main road, which becomes the High Street and the Black Bull (4 High Street CB21 4DJ) is on your right after a double bend. Park in the pub car park.

The walk starts at 10.am. Sunday Cs will turn left out of Black Bull car park and left again opposite the village stores onto Icknield Way track and then path.  The path bears left after Wood Hall buildings.

At a T-junction turn left onto the Roman Road (Harcamlow Way). When we get to the Bartlow/West Wratting Road, we will turn left and walk along this road for about half a mile. Please make sure you walk in single file on the tarmac or on the verge. It is not a particularly busy road but cars travel fast along this stretch.

At a footpath on the left, we turn left, and follow it beside a horse racing training track, then round to the right and up past Balsham Water Tower. We then take a footpath to the left through the Community Millennium Wood. Then we turn right at the end of the path, and along the eastern edge of allotments to the outskirts of Balsham. When we come to a road, we go straight across it to a footpath which takes us along the northern edge of the allotments up to the Icknield Way again. We then turn right up to the High Street, and right again back to the Black Bull,

Please note, instead of doing our 4.5 mile walk, you have the option of joining Sunday Bs for either a 5.5 or 6.9 mile walk which both begin and end with our walk.
