The walk is approx. 5 miles and is for 12 people, including the leader. As booking is essential, call or text Barbara on 07954402337
giving your name and phone number for Test and Trace purposes. You can also use this number to contact me on the day of the walk.
We meet by The Crown pub, Little Walden CB10 1XA. The easiest way to get there is to drive to Linton on the A1307 out of Cambridge. Turn right at the traffic lights in Linton, towards Saffron Walden. Little Walden is on the road, after Hadstock. At Little Walden there is a sharp bend just by The Crown. Turn right here and find a place to park by the green or along the two residential roads. Please don’t park in the car park behind the pub.
We will walk across fields towards Hadstock, cutting off to cross and walk along a short stretch of road. Then we follow a track past Bowsers and down, across fields again towards Ashdon. We’ll pass by the old railway track and then along a path to Butlers Farm. From there we take a path along a field edge back to Little Walden.
In line with Government guidance for ‘Test & Trace’, everyone coming on the walk must provide the leader with their contact details, which will be held for 21 days and then deleted. No one should come on the walk if you feel even slightly ill.
Please bring with you a face-covering and hand sanitiser in case needed, and any walking poles you need; no equipment or refreshments can be shared beyond households. It is still advisable to observe ‘social distancing’ on the walk where possible.
More details relating to taking part in and leading Club walks in a ‘Covid-19’ environment are posted on the CRC website, under ‘Members’.
