Directions to meet at Ickleton Village Hall Car Park, Frogge Street, Ickleton, Saffron Walden, CB10 1SH:

If coming south on A11, take A1301 at Stump Cross, then turn left at turning to Hinxton and Ickleton on Ickleton Road; or if coming from Cambridge on A1301 after Sawston — turn right at turning to Hinxton and Ickleton.  Stay on windy road to Ickleton and at T-junction by Cost Cutter, go straight over, to right of bus shelter and phone box, into Village Hall and Recreation Ground car park.

The walk is approximately 5.25 miles through Ickleton, past Hinxton Mill, through Hinxton and Hinxton Hall grounds and back to Ickleton. At the end of the walk, those who wish could visit St Mary Magdalene Church in Ickleton with its very rare medieval wall paintings.  Also, the Cost Cutter may be open for refreshments.
