The walk starts from Hatley St George at 10am.  Please phone Penny Benziger on 01223-527763 or 07443 429865 with your name and phone number if you wish to join the walk.

The journey from Cambridge is about 15 miles and takes 30 to 35 minutes.  Drive out along the A603 (Barton Road), past Wimpole  and then cross the roundabout with the A1198.  Take the first turning right (Larkins Road), signed Croydon, Hatley and Gamlingay.  Drive through East Hatley and into Hatley St George (which isn’t signed), passing the church and parkland on the left.  Continue along and round a left bend in the road, with Newlands Cottages and Buildings on the right, and with a hard standing in front where you can park (Grid Ref. TL269514 and postcode SG19 3HR).  Please share cars if possible.

The walk is along well-marked paths with views across the countryside and through woods.  Coffee break will be at the beautiful church in Cockayne Hatley where we can see the memorials to W.E. Henley, who wrote ‘Invictus’, and to a group of World War II pilots.

Additional information:  Covid-19 is resurging and we must be very careful.  Please do not join the walk if you have any symptoms, such as a headache, a strong feeling of tiredness, a sore throat or a cough.  In fact it is probably best not to join us if you feel at all unwell.
