14th January 2018:  Sunday B & C New Year Walk and then Lunch at The Shed, 45 Lode Road, Lode, CB25 9ET.  Take A1303 or A14 from Cambridge to Quy roundabout.  Take B1102 signposted Burwell, Quy, Lode, Swaffhams and Anglesey Abbey.  Drive through Stow cum Quy, pass Anglesey Abbey and turn left at cross roads into Lode Road.  Park in the small Shed car par at the front.  Alternatively park in Lode Road on the same side as all the other parked cars.  Alternatively park in the rear Shed car park.  Turn right along Millards Lane and right again along Northfields.  The entrance to the rear car park is just past a conifer tree on the right.  Park close together at the top or on the left hand side only of the entrance road.  Alternatively park in Lode Recreation Ground Car Park.  Continue along Lode Road bending to left and then right.  The Recreation Ground Car Park on the right is just past a phone box on the left and opposite the Station Road sign.

The Sunday C walk, 4 miles, will leave from the front of The Shed at 10.00am and continue to the Mill, along beside Quy Water (missing most of the muddy part) and back along Droves and Quy Fen.  Lunch will be available at The Shed for those who booked with John Andrews by 21 December.  Anyone booked for lunch and not coming on the B or C walks should aim to have parked and be in The Shed by 12.45.  We hope to eat at 1pm.  If any queries, please phone Penny or Dieter on 01223-527763 before Sunday 14^th, or on Dieter’s mobile 07443 429865 on the day.
