A circular walk from Harlton to Barrington and back. It’s about 4.5 miles passing along grassy tracks through fields and woodland. There is a short slope near the start and another towards the end. We start at 10am near the Hare and Hounds pub, Harlton, CB23 1ES; Landranger TL3864 5241. This is one of very few English thatched pubs and bears the thatcher’s signature of a hare and hounds on the roof. We will have a drink stop on Barrington green which is supposedly the longest village green in England covering some 30 acres.
Please park considerately in the village NOT in the pub car park. Coming from Cambridge take the A603 to Barton then left turn to Haslingfield. After about 3 miles take the right turn to Harlton. Follow this road along past houses until you reach the pub on the left.
