Sunday C, Cheveley

May 30, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

There is a limit of ten places on this walk, so please phone Anne to book ahead on 01223 840995.  It is a walk through pleasant stud country in Cheveley near Newmarket.

We leave Cheveley Recreation Ground (High Street, Cheveley, Cambs, CB8 9DG) car park at 10.00.  The Recreation Ground entrance is a gap in a wall and can be hard to spot but there is a black and white ‘Recreation Ground’ sign opposite the entrance.

We’ll be walking along level footpaths through some immaculately presented studs to the picturesque village of Ashley.  From Ashley we follow the Icknield Way back to Cheveley.  Along one stretch of the path notices from the stud management request that we walk in pairs and use gloves to open gates.

Additional Information:

In line with the requirements for group walks of more than 6 people, as approved by the Ramblers (the national body for walking), everyone coming on the walk must provide the leader with contact details.  Please phone the leader if you plan to come and remember to give your name and phone number.  Your details will be held for 21 days for Covid-19 ‘test and trace’ purposes, then deleted.  The maximum number of people allowed on any walk is 30.  No one should come on the walk if you feel even slightly ill.

Please make sure that you bring with you a face-covering hand sanitiser and any walking poles you need; no equipment or refreshments can be shared beyond households.  In line with government guidelines we are asked to observe ‘social distancing’ on the walk.

More details relating to taking part in and leading Club walks in a ‘Covid-19’ environment are posted on the CRC website, under ‘Members’.
