Sunday B Walk from Wood Walton

Wood Walton to Abbots Ripton circular walk
(Park in The Beville, Woodwalton, Huntingdon, PE28 5YP)

From Cambridge take A14 west and go north on A1 to junction 15 Sawtry. At roundabout take 1st exit which goes south beside A1. At T junction go left on B1090 to Wood Walton. At roundabout take 2nd exit B1090 to Wood Walton. Turn left into Wood Walton (Bridge Street). After going under railway bridge, follow road round past pub on left and turn immediately left at bus shelter/post box and telephone box. Park on side of road/grass not opposite a drive, the same side as other cars. Meet on grass past house on right.
The walk is 9.85 miles; 5am 4.85pm, mainly on field edge paths, tracks and roads with good views. There are no stiles, kissing gates or middle of muddy fields to cross. Bring packed lunch which may be eaten on tables in garden of pub providing we buy a drink in the pub.

In line with the requirements for group walks, as approved by the Ramblers (the national body for walking), everyone coming on the walk must provide the leader with contact details. Please text or phone the leader if you plan to come. Please remember to give your name as part of your text! Your details will be held for 21 days for Covid-19 ‘test and trace’ purposes, then deleted. The maximum number of people allowed on any walk is 30.
No one should come on the walk if you feel even slightly ill. Please make sure that you bring with you a face covering, hand sanitiser and any walking poles you need; no equipment or refreshments can be shared beyond households. In line with government guidelines members are asked to observe ‘social distancing’ on the walk.
