Waresley and Gransden Wood Fig of 8, 5/11/23

Start of Walk   10am at Waresley and Gransden Wood car park, Waresley Road, Waresley, Cambs SG19 3RH.  OS Map reference TL 256550.

Parking   The car park for the walk is at Waresley and Gransden Wood (Wildlife Trust) on Waresley Road between Gt. Gransden and Waresley near a small sewage works!

Mileage  10 miles – approximately 6 miles in the morning and 4 in the afternoon.

Lunch   Packed lunch and all other refreshments for the day.

Walk Information   The walk will go out to Waresley, and back to the car park area via part of the wood for lunch then round Gt Gransden village and another part of the wood in the afternoon.  There are no pubs at a suitable place on the morning section so food and drink are needed.  Please note that if the woods are closed due to muddy paths or tree work (as happened last year, although the car park remained open), the walk will take in Fullers Farm Airfield in the morning and more of the village in the afternoon.
