From Saffron Walden one way system turn right on the B184 to Thaxted, at a set of traffic lights. Continue to Thaxted and park in Margaret Street car park found on the left before you reach the High Street (sign on right).  Parking is free and there are toilets in the car park.  Lunch in Great Easton, sandwiches on village green, drinks afterwards in White Swan.
