St Ives Park & Ride to Needingworth

This walk is limited to 12 people booked in advance. People should get in touch with us to book a place via our home phone no. 01223 276773 (evenings preferably) but the mobile 07913764143 can be used on the day only.

Start from the Guided Bus Park and Ride, Meadow Lane, St Ives, PE27 4LG

Take A14 west to Junction 24B and at the top of the slip road take the A1096 towards St Ives. Cross over the A14 and take the 1st exit at the roundabout to St Ives (old A14). Take exit A1096 to St Ives. Follow A1096 and cross the river in St Ives. At the roundabout take 3rd exit into Meadow Lane. The Park and Ride entrance is on the right side.

The walk goes to Needingworth, through the RSPB nature reserve and then back along the river. It is approx. 10 miles.

Lunch: please bring a packed lunch and all other refreshments for the day.

In line with the requirements for group walks of more than 6 people, as approved by the Ramblers (the national body for walking), everyone coming on the walk must provide the leader with contact details. Please phone the leader if you plan to come. Your details will be held for 21 days for Covid-19 ‘test and trace’ purposes, then deleted. No one should come on the walk if you feel even slightly ill. Please make sure that you bring with you a face covering, hand sanitiser and any walking poles you need; no equipment or refreshments can be shared beyond households. In line with government guidelines members are asked to observe ‘social distancing’ on the walk.
