Take the A14 West towards Newmarket. Take the A11 to Thetford and Norwich. At the Barton Mills roundabout stay on the A11 to Thetford and Norwich, note this stretch is being duelled and subject to a 40mph limit; go past the Elveden Gap West memorial (on your left) and take the next right onto the B1106 at the traffic lights.

Look for a water tower on your right, go 500m and park on your right in the car park at Shelterhouse Corner where you will see a small monument.

Sandwiches beside the lake in West Stow Country Park then going half a mile to the café and toilets.
