POTTON (DEEPDALE) DIRECTIONS
Deepdale Wood Car Park, Deepdale, Potton, Sandy SG19 2NH

Take A603 from Cambridge then at roundabout (2nd exit) straight over onto B1042. Turn right at cross roads still on B1042 for Wrestlingworth. Continue on B1042 through Wrestlingworth turning left towards Potton. In Potton keep on B1042 turning left at t junction towards Sandy. After leaving Potton and past the 50mph signs take the first turn on the right with no through road for vehicles sign by red post box. The postcode takes you to the top of this road (Dirok Caravan Club Certified Location). Turn left opposite Dirok sign along a track into the woods. Where the track turns left towards the Sandy Heath transmitter there is a clearing in the woods at the end of the concrete. Park here as close as possible.
The walk is 10 miles, 5.5am. 4.5pm. We visit Gibraltar Barn for coffee, cross the Woodbury Hall Estate, eat our sandwiches and have a drink in the Thornton Arms at Everton. In the afternoon we follow part of the Greensand Ridge Walk (Roman Road) and Sandy Heath back to the car.
