Sunday B Walk from Pingoland

Car park off Watton Road, Stow Bedon, NR17 1DP. (grid ref TL941966)
Take A11/A14 north and east towards Norwich. Come off A14 at junction 38 onto A11 signposted Norwich/Thetford. At Barton Mills roundabout near Mildenhall take 3rd exit A11 towards Thetford and Norwich on new dual carriageway. At next roundabout near Thetford continue straight on dual carriageway. Go straight over 2nd and 3rd roundabouts. At 4th roundabout with yellow slow down lines across road take 1st exit on A1075 signpost to East Dereham and Watton. After 8.5 miles and Stow Bedon signs slow down past Wayside Farm on left with produce signs, go round bend to left and immediately turn into layby on left with a grey bottle bank and sign Great Eastern Pingo Trail. In layby, take track off towards house and turn immediately right between posts into car park.
Pingos are crater like depressions formed during last ice age and now full of water. We follow parts of the Great Eastern Pingo Trail and part of the Peddars Way, stopping to eat at Thompson.
The walk is 10.25 miles, 7.25am 3pm. (different from last 2 Pingoland walks)
After walk possible to have tea and cakes at The Courtyard, Elveden IP24 3TQ. Take slip road off dual carriageway on A11 for Elveden. Turn left at top of slip road and very shortly turn left (opposite The Elveden Inn pub car park on right) along new tarmac single track road with passing places for The Courtyard.
