May 30, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
SUNDAY B WALK FROM ORWELL 30 MAY 2021
Orwell Clunch Pit Car Park, High Street, Orwell, Royston, SG8 5QN
This walk is limited to 12 people. Please text Lorna on 07817 620976 and leave your name and phone number if you would like to book on this walk.
Travelling from Cambridge towards Wimpole on the A603, turn left for Orwell. Pass the church on your left and continue straight along High Street. The car park is on the left, signed from the road but hidden up a lane just before no 27, opposite no 32 (thatched lych gate). If you pass the village hall on your right you have gone too far and need to turn back.
We will walk through the fields around Orwell and over the ridge through the clunch pit (some steep short downhill bits) to Harlton where we will have lunch. Back via the Eversdens and through the Wimpole estate and the Orwell Clunch Pit in the afternoon. The morning is about 6 miles and the afternoon about 4.5 miles. Some lovely views and contrasting woodland.
