Travelling from Cambridge towards Wimpole on the A603, turn left for Orwell. Pass the church on your left and continue straight along High Street. The car park is on the left, signed from the road but hidden up a lane just before no 27, opposite no 32 (thatched lychgate). If you pass the village hall on your right you have gone too far and need to turn back.

The walk is 10.5 miles with the majority in the morning.  The walk was scheduled to go to Whaddon for coffee but the River Cam was found to have flooded the path following heavy rain the week before the walk.  The walk now follows good grassy paths south of Orwell before coffee break.  Lunch is at Wimpole with time to purchase a coffee to have with packed lunch.  The afternoon walk will be on the Wimpole estate returning to Orwell via the clunch pit.  The afternoon can be shortened if the weather is bad.  There are lovely views and no muddy cross-field paths.
