Melbourn Car Park, High Street, Melbourn SG8 6DZ (opposite The Hub, 30 High Street, Melbourn). Take A10 south from Cambridge.  Turn left to Melbourn signposted Melbourn and Science Park.  Pass Melbourn Golf Club on left and continue into village of Melbourn.  The car park is on the left just past Melbourn Hub, which is on the right.

The walk is 11 miles, taking in the scenic villages of Melbourn, Fowlmere, Shrepreth and Meldreth. We will also visit the Round Moat, a Scheduled Monument in Fowlmere.

Please bring packed lunch.

There are currently some cows/sheep grazing on Shepreth L Moor but they are very calm and placid.

In line with the requirements for group walks of more than 6 people, as approved by the Ramblers (the national body for walking), everyone coming on the walk must provide the leader with contact details. Please text or phone the leader if you plan to come. Please remember to give your name as part of your text! Your details will be held for 21 days for Covid-19 ‘test and trace’ purposes, then deleted. The maximum number of people allowed on any walk is 30.

No one should come on the walk if you feel even slightly ill. Please make sure that you bring with you a face covering, hand sanitiser and any walking poles you need; no equipment or refreshments can be shared beyond households. In line with government guidelines members are asked to observe ‘social distancing’ on the walk.
