Recreation Ground Car Park, off High Street, Lode CB25 9EH

Take A1303 or A14 from Cambridge to Quy roundabout.  Take B1102 signposted Burwell, Quy, Lode, Swaffhams and Anglesey Abbey.  Drive through Stow cum Quy, pass Anglesey Abbey and turn left at cross roads into Lode Road.  The road bends left then right by some thatched cottages and then becomes the High Street.  Near the village shop, opposite Mill Road, look for a P sign which points to the recreation ground car park.  Drive down a narrow road with allotments on the right to the car park near the recreation ground.  There should be plenty of space but if not park neatly on the road.

The walk is a new walk, 11.6 miles from Lode to Quy, along the Little Wilbraham River to Little Wilbraham for lunch then through Bottisham and Long Meadow back to Lode. Please bring all refreshments for the day.

In line with the requirements for group walks of more than 6 people, as approved by the Ramblers (the national body for walking), everyone coming on the walk must provide the leader with contact details. Please text or phone the leader if you plan to come. Please remember to give your name as part of your text! Your details will be held for 21 days for Covid-19 ‘test and trace’ purposes, then deleted. The maximum number of people allowed on any walk is 30.

No one should come on the walk if you feel even slightly ill. Please make sure that you bring with you a face covering, hand sanitiser and any walking poles you need; no equipment or refreshments can be shared beyond households. In line with government guidelines members are asked to observe ‘social distancing’ on the walk.
