The walk starts in the centre of Great Dunmow Essex( about 35 miles from Cambridge) at the Co-op car park, on Co-op website the address is White street, CM6 1BD.

It is about 11 miles with lunch in Great Eastern where there is a pub, The Swan. I think it’s Mothers day so I guess the pub might be busy!

Directions as follows;

Take the M11 south, exit at junction 8, left at lights for Colchester and Stanstead then right at roundabout for Colchester A120.

Pass Stanstead on the left and after about 4.5 miles exit left for Great Dunmow B1256. Stay on this B road towards the town centre, passing Tescos on the left at a roundabout then turning left at the next roundabout signposted Gt. Dunmow town centre.You should be on Stortford road. Bear right at a mini roundabout then Stortford road joins the B184 which is the High Street.

Turn left off the High street into long stay car park ( before the war memorial on the right) which doubles as the Co-op car park. It is free on Sundays.
